In the women’s section, Exeter City 1st were victorious against their 3rd team in the final winning 4-0. Well done to Exeter City 2nd and Exmouth Tigers Lionesses too with both teams competing well in the group stages.

In the Disability County League Cup group stages, Plymouth Mayflower Specials and Pinhoe Ability 4th battled well against higher level opposition but ultimately the league 1 teams made the final. Torquay United 2nd & Shamwickshire Rovers 3rds played out a thrilling final, with the match finishing in a 2-2 draw after fantastic goals from Kieron Binmore (Torquay United) & Nas Castro (Shamwickshire Rovers) before penalties. As the day progressed, it was time for another two cup finals with the Intermediate Cup and Senior Cup group stages kicking off at midday. In the intermediate section, Tiverton Town 2nd & Club Plymouth Parkway 3rd were pipped to the final by their counter parts from South and East Devon.

Waldon Athletic 2nd & Pinhoe Ability 3rd played out a closely fought final, finishing 0-0 before another penalty shootout. Busayo Rojugokan was the hero for Pinhoe Ability, as the goalkeeper stepped up with a great save to win the 2024 Devon FA Disability Intermediate Cup for Pinhoe Ability 3rd.

As the day progressed onto the 4th final, it was time for the Devon FA Disability Senior Cup group stages. This time, Pinhoe Ability 2nd and Waldon Athletic 1st couldn’t reach another final for their clubs but competed well in the group stages against the juggernauts from Plymouth and Exeter. The second Devon derby of the county cup final season (after the Devon Women’s Premier Cup Final in April) as Exeter City 3rd and Plymouth Argyle 1st reached the Devon FA Disability Senior Cup Final.

Another fantastic match, dominated largely by Exeter City finished in a 3-1 victory for the Grecians with the club taking home their second county cup of the day.

Exeter City 3rd 3-1 Plymouth Argyle 1st

As the day progressed, we reached the Premier Cup group stages with some fine displays and skills. Pinhoe Ability 1st competed well but unfortunately didn’t progress. As Northam Lions 1st reached the final in 1st place, there was a tie on points & goal difference between Plymouth Warriors 1st and Shamwickshire Rovers 1st which led to a semi final penalty shootout. Plymouth Warriors goalkeeper, Spencer Hyde’s stepped up saving the fifth penalty to win the penalty shootout 5-4 against a spirited and strong performance from Shamwickshire Rovers 1st.

The final between reigning champions, Plymouth Warriors and cup final debutants, Northam Lions was a cracker, with some fine Football on display. Northam Lions win against their opponents in the group stages looked to be no fluke, as they took an early lead after a fine run and finish from Spencer David. Plymouth Warriors weren’t down for long though, after a long ball from defence was missed by the Northam Lions defence and finishing in the top corner. Some strong tackles & great passing play continued with the match concluding at 1-1 and the day’s fourth penalty shootout!

Plymouth Warriors goalkeeper, Spencer Hyde’s was again the hero with a penalty save and helping Plymouth Warriors to a 3-1 victory on penalties and retaining the Devon FA Disability Premier Cup!
